I decided I like the painting below just as it is, and changed the name of it to "Cloudburst". I'll put it in a white frame for an upcoming show in June at the Chaffee Art Center in Rutland, VT.
My name is Annie Delyth Stratton. Years ago, when I lived in the mountains of the western US, being snowbound was a given, and I named the little cabin where I lived and made art "Snowbound Studio". I live in Vermont now, where snow is becoming increasingly random, but in my heart my home/studio is still Snowbound Studio.
Art is a journey. So is life. They might be the same journey. So here we are.
This blog is an informal sharing of my explorations, through art and words, of that journey. I am happy to have company on my ramblings. Welcome.
